The Power of Teamwork

It truly is incredible what can happen when a team works together towards a common goal. Recently, I spent three days in Miami, FL for the 2014 Market America World Conference. This was an extremely powerful event and I am extremely happy that I attended. I will be at Market America World Conference for years. I met with some of my senior business leaders and they are truly incredible people and we all have the same goal.  The event really motivated me to go out and accomplish my goals. Throughout the event, there were individuals that achieved particular levels of income. A large percentage of these people have Asian heritage. There seemed to be an increased discipline with the Asian community and their business building techniques. They all preached teamwork and following the proven business system. These individuals do not speak English very well but have followed the business plan impeccably. Their attention to detail is a direct reflection to why they are succeeding at such a high rate. I will be working towards focusing my energy in the same manner as them in order to achieve the goals that I have set for myself and my team. I am still in Miami but once I get home, I will be meeting with my team and establishing a plan that will get us moving in a positive direction.

Success leaves a trail....FOLLOW IT!

Snow Day Production

There is no debating that inclement weather ruins our plans and causes us to put off doing important tasks until the weather clears up. This does not mean that we should remain unproductive for the day or so that we may be confined to being indoors. There are several ways we can remain productive while being inside on those cold, snowy days of winter...

1. Exercise
Jumping jacks, squats, lunges, sit ups or push ups can waken our cold and tired bodies as well as helping us improve our overall fitness level while we are confined to our homes

2. Read a book
We do not need to sit around all day and watch a marathon of our favorite TV shows for 6-8 hours. Reading a book is a good change of pace and will help us sharpen our minds

3. Work or Pay Bills
You are stuck at home but the bill collectors need their money on time. Instead of waiting until your usual day to take care of the bills, use this unplanned extended time at home to get these tasks done. We all have access to the internet with the opportunity to work from home. Your office is shut down for the day but many times we can take care a few of the emails we need to respond to from the comfort of our own home

The cold weather can lead us to being lazy but these are just a few ways that we can remain productive and only requires an hour or so of our time

Stop Trying

The biggest difference between those who are successful and those that aren't is that, those who succeed GET THINGS DONE while who are unsuccessful, TRY.

We all say things like, "I will try to get there by..." or "I will try to get an A on my next exam."

The word "try" sets us up for failure. Trying is making a half decent attempt to accomplish something but avoiding fully committing yourself to getting the task completed.

The word try needs to be deleted from our vocabularies!

STOP trying and START DOING!

Anybody can try to do something. It requires minimal effort and gives us wiggle room to not accomplish the goal and we can always keep our word by staying in our comfort zone and saying we will "try" to do something.

FULLY COMMIT yourself to the tasks that you want to accomplish!

Saying you will do something instead of trying to do something establishes your level of commitment to a task.

I WILL run a marathon this year

I WILL earn the promotion I want at work

I WILL be debt free by...

I WILL have a 3.5 GPA this semester

There is power in the words that we speak!

Remove yourself from your comfort zone and fully commit to the things you want to accomplish!

Changing Lives

Throughout my life I have always searched for new ways to improve my life financially.  I've always had the spirit of a business man inside of me.  As I have grown and matured this spirit has grown and is starting to blossom.  Through reading and educating myself on how to make more money I learned, those that make the most money can solve the biggest problems.

Initially this sounded like I was back in math class trying to figure out to solve a problem on a test. I analyzed this statement and began to understand what it really means.

Those who create solutions to widespread problems have what others and therefore are able to capitalize off of what they have.

I began with Market America in the middle of 2013 because I loved the business plan and saw that the products offered were unlike anything I had ever taken and were of superior quality.  Market America products provide a quality solution to problems that everyday people may have whether it be health, cosmetic, business related, etc.

Market America products truly have the potential to change lives but I was still looking for an additional way to create change in the lives of people I encounter on a daily basis.

For several months my personal trainer, Mike Nunziato has been implying that I would be an asset to his gym Total Nunziato Training.  I have a passion for physical fitness but no background in exercise science and I am not a certified personal trainer.

The light bulb in my head finally went off....

Personal training partnered with the health products of Market America distributes!

So many of my friends and family ask me on a regular basis for workouts to do so it only made sense. Yesterday I began my online class to become a certified personal trainer. The course material is interesting and a bit challenging.

Proper diet and exercise are essential to living a healthy life.  Americans overall are overweight and I would love to be able to be a small factor in improving the health of Americans.

This is the beginning of the New Year and of course many people have created resolutions to lose weight or get in better shape.

Next week, TLS Weight Loss Solutions (Market America affiliated company) will be holding their annual Resolution Revolution. This is an all day event hosted by TLS Weight Loss Coach along with several other health experts. This event is an all day webinar that will include workouts, health guidance, supplementation information and much more.

This will truly be an amazing event that will help jumpstart many people with their weight loss goals!

I will post the link to the event in a post over the weekend

Have a safe and blessed weekend

Attacking those Resolutions

OK, we have finally arrived at 2014! This is an exciting time! The calendar has flipped and we essentially have a clean slate.

So many of us have New Years Resolutions. These resolutions range from losing weight, making more money, attend your place or worship more often, be a better husband or wife, etc.

These are all great changes for people to want to make in their lives.  The problem with these resolutions is, we go hard and change who we are for two weeks or maybe even a month. After the New Year emotion settles down, we go back to our old ways and then late in December, we come up with the same resolutions as the prior year because we did not follow through for 365 days.

DO GOOD

DO BAD

DO GOOD

DO BAD

It is a vicious cycle that so often we get trapped in.

How do we stop this cycle and make our resolutions a permanent part of our lives?!?!?

Be ACCOUNTABLE!

Having someone besides yourself to be accountable to will force yourself to make the change that you want in your life.

Lets say your goal is to lose weight and your goal is to stay away from fried/sugary foods and go to the gym 3x per week.

If you do not hit this goal or indulge in a cupcake, there has to be some consequence!  Have an accountability partner that will essentially be the nagging voice in your head to do what you set out to do.

Surround yourself with individuals that have similar goals to yourself. This group of people you have will help each other re-focus when someone in the group strays away from the intended goal.

I wish all of you the best of luck and hope you become the change you want for yourselves!

Have a happy and blessed new year!

Do You Need A Website?

This is a question new business owners face!

Starting a new business often requires coming out of pocket for a lot of expenses. Business owners are always for looking for ways to save a few dollars here and there as they are getting their business off the ground.

Would the website be an asset or a liability?

Lets take a look at some benefits of having a website....

1. Cheaper and Much More Flexible Than Print AdvertisingThe Internet is extremely different from print advertising in that space is cheap, your advertisement is accessible for a longer period of time, the content can be changed without having to ask someone to do it for you and you can potentially reach a wider audience.

2. 24/7/365No more turning customers away when its time to close shop, putting up a note saying "closed for public holiday" or leaving an irritating message on your answering service specifying your hours. Customers can/will visit your website for the information they are looking for.

3. Improve credibilityA website gives you the opportunity to tell potential customers what you are about and why you deserve their trust and confidence. The Internet also allows for Viral Marketing where your website visitors spread positive word-of-mouth about your business - your customers do your marketing!

You have to spend money to make money. A website is a great investment to your new or old business.

A few nights ago I sold a website to a family friend who is opening a new restaurant in the next few weeks. I am excited to see the finished product!

Making the Most Of Everyday

I love sleep!

Who doesn't?

Lounging in bed, wrapped in blankets til 10 or 11am sounds amazing! But there is one problem....

Nothing is getting done!

You are stagnant!
Nothing is getting done!
Bills have to be paid!
Goals have to be achieved!

My friend asked me last night if I wanted to work out at 6am with him this morning. By no means am I a morning person and lifting weights and working hard at that hour sounds miserable. For some odd reason, I agreed to workout and then head to the baseball facility to do some hitting.

I completed my daily workout routine and finished hitting by 9am! I typically do not get out of bed til 930/10am and do not work out until noon. I am no more tired right now than I typically am despite sleeping 3 less hours. I now have the time and freedom to get a lot more done with my day.

Am I going to lift everyday from now on at 6am and hit at 8? No!

We still need to get adequate rest but sacrificing a few hours of sleep a couple of days a week is not going to kill ourselves.

Our time is limited and we must maximize each day, hour, minute and second we have. I remember speaking with one of my mentors and he told me that in order for me to reach my goals, sacrifices need to be made and sleep was going to have to be one of those sacrifices.

It makes sense! I physically cannot make my self a better baseball player by sleeping the day away.

I cannot create the financial future I want for myself by sleeping.

I cannot be a positive influence to others by sleeping.

Wake up!

Live your dreams!

Here is a little Monday Motivation to help you get going....
